Jacob Schühle-Lewis practices commercial photography,
illustration and design. His commercial and editorial work
has featured in publications such as The Guardian (UK), The
New Statesman (UK), and The Atlantic (US). He has produced
work for organisations worldwide, including Friends of the
Earth, Condé Nast and Stop Aids Campaign.
Jacob’s interest in photography began whilst cycling
across the United States in 2007, and from this initial
experimentation in documentary grew a fascination with
portraiture. His photography rides on an enthusiasm for
people and frequently magnifies an already present aspect
of the sitters personality. There is an honesty to his work
even when photographing the fantastical.
